Documents
Your employer can provide you with important information and personal records directly in Blink me. So-called documents are used for this purpose: these can be links or files that you can then access in the Blink me app.
Types of documents
There are two types of documents you can access in Blink me.

Object-related documents
Object-related documents are linked to an object and contain information relevant to that object, such as the object's service specifications or safety data sheets for products used there.
You can find these documents by clicking on “More” → “Documents & Links” in the Blink me app. At the top of the page, you will see the “View documents for an object” section. Here you can select an object, for example by scanning a QR code.
You will then see all categories with documents for the object (e.g., “Product info,” “Safety data sheets”).
Tip: When you start time tracking by scanning the QR code, a “Show documents” box appears directly on the start page. If documents are stored for the object, clicking on the box takes you directly there. This allows you to quickly access all the information that is important for a job.
General and personal documents
These documents are not linked to a specific object, but are still visible to you. They may contain general information, such as a newsletter or training videos. Your employer may also provide you with personal documents, such as training certificates.
You can find these documents by clicking on “More” → “Documents & Links” in the Blink me app. There you will see all categories for general and personal documents below the object selection.
Display and content
Documents are always organized into categories. Categories function similarly to folders: they assist you in locating content more quickly.
In the overview, the following information is always displayed for a category in the Blink me app:

Colored icon corresponding to each category
Category name
Number of documents contained
You open the category with a tap and then see:

When entered, a brief description of the category, e.g. with additional helpful information
a list of documents, each with
3. Symbol for the file type (e.g., PDF, DOC, JPG)
4. Document name
5. the creation or modification date
Depending on the type of document, tapping on it will either download it, preview it (for PDF and image files), or open the link.
Automatische Übersetzung
The Blink me app automatically translates the names and descriptions of categories and documents into the language you have set in the app – without any extra clicks. This allows you to find your way around easily, even if the documents are managed in a different language.
Important: The files themselves are not translated and remain in their original language.
